Are you as excited as I am that fall is finally upon us? I love living in Utah during this time of year. Not only for the beautiful scenery of the mountains with the leaves changing colors but for how many things you can do. Utah LOVES to celebrate Fall and Halloween!
There is so much you can do during this time of year. Here are a few places to check out! We’ve included all kinds of activities! Free events, trick or treating, family-friendly places, and scarier adult activities (haunted houses) where you might want to leave the little ones at home with a babysitter, and go to get scared, scream and it always includes a good LAUGH!
Check out these hometown Halloween events around the Salt Lake Valley:
- Gardner Village: Stroll brick-lined paths and discover boutique-style, locally-owned shops, and restaurants surrounding the historic Gardner Mill. With the ambiance and charm of an early Utah Village, you’ll enjoy shopping, dining, and events in a leisurely-paced setting, just 12 miles south of downtown Salt Lake City in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley. From furniture, home decor, candy, bedding, jewelry, women’s and kids’ clothing, antiques and more, our shops are brimming with fabulous finds for you and your home. Delight your children at a year-round petting zoo and pony rides. Gardner Village comes alive each October with the popular WitchFest, elves during Christmas, Farmers Markets and Woodland Fairy Festival in the spring. Spend the afternoon or day milling around Utah’s favorite shopping, dining and historic experience.
- Utah Olympic Legacy: The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation celebrates the spirit of the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games to inspire active, healthy lifestyles and increase community uses of Utah’s Olympic venues. As Designated Official U.S. Olympic Training Sites, our venues are places of inspiration and accomplishment where young athletes train alongside world champions.
Regardless of what you do, GET OUTSIDE, enjoy the weather, friends, and family, and the incredible views we have while living in Utah!
