Home Safety:
The National Safety Council estimates everyday approximately 245 people die of unintentional injuries in homes and communities. Some of the leading causes of death in 2007 were, Motor Vehicle Crashes, Poisonings, Falls, Choking, Drowning, Fires, flames and smoke. There are some things that we can do to help prevent some of these things from occurring. Tenants have a checklist given to them at the start of there lease that explains home safety polices and rules.
Declutter your home:
Spring is the perfect time to declutter your home. Many neighborhoods have a dumpster delivered so they can throw out old or unwanted things. Keeping your house organized and declutter can better help prevent tripping over things and lowers your chance of additional fire hazards. Another fire prevention tip is to keep all electrical outlets from being overloaded. We at Real Property Management Elite have come across many houses that need attention to this and want to advise to always keep a clean declutter free zones in your property.
Home Security System:
Some advantages to having a security system installed are burglary alert, fire prevention, personal and family safety, and 24 hour dispatch. You never know when someone may try to break into your house. Having a security system can alert you and the police when there is an intruder. Recommended that landlords have there smoke alarms hardwired to your security system and detects smoke it will both set off your alarm and dispatch help.
